Every change to a page is logged, by a person, by an assistant, or by Gaze itself when it notices the page has changed. Then the periods before and after are compared.

A verdict needs three days, 50 entries and 20 conversions on each side, and “up” only when the two 90 % intervals do not overlap. Gaze compares periods, not causes. Example figures.

Gaze sets no cookie and stores no identifier. Whether to ask before counting is a question for you and your counsel; we ask on our own sites. With consent first, the script reads and sends nothing until the visitor says yes, and the small question that asks is ready to use.
